Ben Bishop Jr, managing partner, wanted to pay homage to the community and the land Bishop's Post sits on, which was once owned by Chesterfield pioneer, Justus Post. Justus Post arrived in Chesterfield in 1815 from Vermont and laid out the original named community of Chesterfield straddling Wild Horse Creek Road, between Baxter and Wilson.
